- What's a Muse credit?
- Muse credits are consumed when the AI muse generates a suggestion, rewrites a passage, or analyses your scene against your Core. Roughly one credit per 1,500 characters of input + output. - What is Bring Your Own Model?
- If you have an OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google API key you can route Muse requests through your own key. Available on every plan including Reader. Pay the provider directly for inference, no Muze credits consumed.

- Anytime. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. Cancelling keeps your manuscripts intact — they revert to read-only export access on the Reader free tier.
